Annelies Nuy is a versatile designer who in recent years has increasingly focused on the creative reuse of existing natural fabrics and materials. One of the results is a stunning bag line with the message "Ceci n'est pas..." inspired by Margritte's iconic painting “Ceci n'est une pipe”. Annelies comments on what she believes to be the outdated status of existing luxury fashion brands by reusing those labels in a different context. This provides a refreshing and humorous picture of these labels and their image. The bags themselves are made from a long-lost stock of leather that was used in earlier times to make school bags.
