Julia and Thebe founded JUBE to create colourful and chunky jewellery. They were inspired by digging into their mothers’ old jewellery boxes and finding some funny-looking plastic rings dating back to the ’70's, ’80s and ’90s. They set out to make eye-catching pieces out of plastic, but soon realised that producing more plastic in a world was against their beliefs. Luckily, they found Vincent, founder of Utoplast, located in Trondheim, Norway. Vincent has been an expert in recycled plastic design. After collecting plastics from households, streets, factories and other places, he helps shredding it into small pieces then melts it and injects it in to the ring mould. The result of all this hard work: crazy, beautiful, recycled plastic rings to get your funky fingers going.
