We are proud to announce the new
exhibition by Uncoated Platform, Re-designing Nature,
on view until March 14.
The aim of this exhibition is to support emerging Dutch photography
talent by showing their works in a curated environment. Join us in
celebrating the opening at X BANK on 17 January at 17:30.
About "Re-designing Nature"
As humans, our interaction with nature is deeply beneficial for our well-being, especially in reducing anger, fear and loss of pain. Nature deprivation is caused by
increasing time spent in front of televisions and computers. Due to
technological enhancements, the environments we live in are changing
rapidly. 69% of the global population is projected to live in urban areas
by 2050. This exhibition researches how we as humans investigate, alter
and shape our new habitat. Every photographer represents one of the pillars
with their work. This exhibition was created in collaboration with Dutch photographers Lana Prins, Robert Peek and Maarten Rots.
About "The Photo Room"
During the opening of Re-designing Nature at X BANK, Uncoated Platform
will also present The Photo Room. The Photo Room is an immersive audio-
visual environment that aims to give the visitor a new perspective on how
we experience emerging art photography.
The Photo Room was created in collaboration with artists Synchrodogs, Tom Hegen, Inez Agnese, Giuseppe Gradella, Wonjun Jeong, Matthew Coleman,
Bryce Willem, Luke & Mandy, Lana Prins, Bruna Mayer, Lisette Appeldorn,
Director and curator: Josephine de Fijter
Sound and music: Atelier Francesco
Video editing and animation: Leonardo Franke
All works are on show and for sale at X BANK till the 14th of March.
