UNSEEN OPEN GALLERY NIGHT

Taking place on 21 September all across the city, Unseen Amsterdam is an event that lies
between an art fair and a contemporary photography festival, showcasing the latest
developments in contemporary photography. 

This year, X BANK will participate by hosting Annelies Damen’s Longing for Lamu exhibition.

Lamu has been a place of inspiration for Dutch photographer Annelies Damen since she first
set foot on the Kenyan Archipelago 20 years ago. In this new series, Damen captured Lamu’s
slow pace of living, surrounding Indian Ocean, organic food and Swahili architecture, but
above all, she was intrigued by the women she met during her stay.

During Open Gallery Night, the artist will be present to talk about her work.
