Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, is the largest design event in the Northern Europe. It presents work and concepts by designers from all over the world. This year’s Dutch Design Week theme was “If not now, when?”. Everything was about innovation, mainly focused on the environment. X BANK went to discover new designers and support our current ones.

Victor de Bie’s table set went straight from X BANK to Piet Hein Eek and stayed there the whole week in
the Wander Chamber. This time, it was surrounded by his new drawings that were transformed into carpets.

At the design hub Sectie C, where visitors got a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the design world, we spotted two
of our designers while wandering around the studios, gardens and stages. Lucie Jansen small plant lamps made
from recycled plastic.

Jelle Mastenbroek was also present at Sectie C with his money socks. We love the one we have at X BANK,
but when we spotted the bigger version, we immediately decided to take it with us. Come see it now at X BANK.

Do you remember GHYCZY, the design studio we recently collaborated with on the WallpaperSTORE* pop-up?
In collaboration with Som Tales of Parfume, they created a fragrance and a design for diffuser sticks.
While entering the Kazerne, we recognized the smell and discovered that behind the Hans Lensvelt exposition,
Som Tales of Parfume had their own exposition.

HOW&WOW exhibited the work by our polyurethane mould queen Nynke Koster. She creates 3D memories
by creating a moulds out of the spaces, structures of buildings, interiors and people.

You would think that by now it was time to take the train back. We had to make one last stop at the design railway platform.
We jumped into Jasmin Djerzic's world filled with storks hanging on the walls.

We left Eindhoven feeling inspired by all of the innovative, though-provoking designs we saw. Come find these artists at X BANK.
