Last Thursday, the 11th of October Wardements and Orange Babies
launched their collaboration collection at X BANK. This limited collection,
consisting out of shirts and hoodies, is available at X BANK.
All proceeds go directly to Orange Babies.
With this Wardements x Orange Babies collaboration Orange Babies stays
close to its origin. Right from the start in 1999, they have been involved with
Dutch fashion and design. The initiative of founders Baba Sylla, John Kattenberg
and Stef Bakker quickly attracted large designers who associated their name with
Orange Babies' mission to protect mothers and children in the South of Africa
from the effects of HIV. They are committed to a world free of HIV and AIDS.
Ward Stegerhoek, renowned Dutch hairstylist and owner of Wardements, and
Orange Babies have been working together since the start. Ward who currently is
living in the United States founded his own streetstyle label, Wardements, in 2017.
For his fall/ winter collection he designed this collection especially for Orange Babies.
Earlier this year, the collection was launched in New York. Last Thursday, it was Amsterdam's turn to present this amazing cooperation. We were so happy to host this event.
Ward about the collection: " While it is my natural instinct to help babies, I am happy that I can share both my creativity and the proceeds of the collection with Orange Babies. Since the start of Orange Babies I have been involved in the organization and I have embraced their mission".
Top models such as Cindy Crawford, her daughter Kaia Gerber, Doutzen Kroes, Christy Turlington, Gigi Hadid, Romee Strijd and Anja Rubik have also shown their support have
already been spotted in the jersey.
The collection pieces are printed with edited images of photographer Mariska van den Brink together with striking texts which are for rising awareness for HIV control in Africa. The limited collection exclusively for sale at X BANK. The price of the hoodie is € 249 and the T-shirt €135. All proceeds go directly to Orange Babies.
