MUSEUM NIGHT AMSTERDAM: WHERE TO GO, WHAT TO DO

When the sun goes down on Saturday, 3 November 2018,
fifty museums will open their doors for Museum Night Amsterdam.

It’s one of the best nights in the city, filled with art, music, dance parties, food and drinks.
(Get your ticket early so you don’t miss out.) Here’s our Museum Night to-do list.

Hortus Botanicus Amsterdam
The Hortus Terras will be transformed into a dancefloor, where you can dance to a wide array of musical genres surrounded by greenery.

Stedelijk Museum
Stedelijk is set to host a fashion show titled The New Originals, dance parties by Ruigoord artists and interactive speed tours.

Foam
More interested in making something yourself? Visit the Foam Studio and make your own masterpiece inspired by the works of the exhibition Loading… Works from the Foam Collection.

CBK Zuidoost
Every year, CBK Zuidoost invites various artists to live and work in the neighbourhood. Museum Night is the moment when all their work, in which they reflect on this part of the city, is exhibited for the first time.
There will also be the opportunity to visit the FACE-ING THYSELF workshop, where you can embellish your self-portrait with a needle and a thread.

Rijksmuseum
Experience Rijksmuseum in a totally new way. On this special night, the museum hosts karaoke, a silent disco, special tours, bingo and much, much more. They always perfectly combine the historical with the modern.

Van Gogh Museum
At the Van Gogh Museum during Museum Night, you’ll find dance parties, aura photography, Rorschach tests, an audio-visual installation by Dutch artist Heleen van Blanken and more.
