This Year’s Winners of the Royal Award for Modern Painting

Last Friday, his Majesty the King awarded three young and talented
Dutch painters with this year’s Royal Award for Modern Painting right
in the heart of Amsterdam, the Royal Palace. 


The Royal Award for Modern Painting is created to encourage gifted young painters and support their artistic development. The jury, consisting of artists, curators and art critics, chose Raquel van Haver, Neo Matloga en Sam Hersbach to win this year’s award as well
as 9.000 euros each.

If the palace is not in use by the royal family, you are welcome to experience the enchanting exhibition of both winning and nominated art works until the 11th of November.
