Maarten Rots - Untitled (Bordeaux, 2016)

Regular price €875.00 Sale

We are proud to present our current exhibition 'Re-designing Nature' curated by Josephine de Fijter from Uncoated.

Maarten Rots is a Dutch artist that aims to capture the wonders of our every day surroundings within cities.

With his minimalistic imagery he would like to show the viewer that we are surrounded by hidden beauty. In his non-edited compositions he aims to recreate a perception by making usage of natural phenomena such as sunshine, shadow and the movement of people.

His play with the elements is based on his search to balance his sense of freedom with having the sense of security in life. Rots travels throughout Europe where he walks through cities without a fixed plan. This way he creates, by taking the time and finding the unexpected beauty. For him it is a transformation of the way we look at our surroundings as he searches for organic shapes that represent nature to make him feel at ease in urban life.

All artworks are on show and for sale at X BANK till the 14th of March 2019. The art works are sold excluding mounting and framing.
