Yuki Isshiki opened a hat studio/shop ‘demure couture hat Amsterdam’ just off Haarlemmerplein in Amsterdam in September 2016. Yuki originally comes from Japan and learned millinery or craft of hat-making at Prudence Millinery (which supplies couture hats to Vivienne Westwood and other notable customers) in London before coming to Amsterdam. She believes that traditional handcraft methods are vital to achieve highly sophisticated modern aesthetics.
Her hats can be seen on editorial pages of high fashion magazines as well as on the head of busy people of Amsterdam. Her hats are known in Amsterdam for on-trend yet unique designs as well as great personal care including bespoke services and after-care of the hats.
