Designer Angelo Carlo Marcus Elizabeth was born on the Caribbean island of Curaçao.
“In 2013, I entered the fashion industry as a content creator, which gave me unique experiences and insights into the high-end fashion industry. Shortly after, I started studying fashion design and styling at Academy Artemis in Amsterdam. While studying at the Academy, I developed my own approach to fashion. I am very much inspired by fine art, Parisian sophistication, my own Caribbean heritage and streetwear. After working in London, completing high-end handbag-making courses and graduating with honors in Amsterdam, I decided it was time to share my creations with the world.
The brand Marcus Elizabeth launched in 2020 and offers capsule collections with sleek, forward-looking designs that embrace and enhance everyday experiences. Our DNA is at the intersection of our zeitgeist, origins and artistry. Staying true to our DNA, we design exciting near futures keeping inclusivity and sustainability in mind.
