While the fashion industry has been grappling with sustainability concerns, progress has been slow. The monumental impact of textile production on the environment is widely recognized. DANDAN Sculpture made its first appearance during the 2022 Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven, as part of the "No Space for Waste" exhibition. Now, the brand is ready to officially launch its collection at X BANK. The collection features six sculptural pillow shapes, each crafted from different leftover fabrics. By deviating from the standard square shape, DANDAN breathes new life into these everyday objects, transforming them into pieces of art.
Sun Lee, the founder of DANDAN Sculpture, draws inspiration from the unique shapes and cuts of leftover fabrics. Moving to Amsterdam sparked her creativity, and she realized the potential to create something extraordinary from these remnants.
