Fusion of Art: Lino Visionair & Laser 3.14 at X BANK
October 2024
On Friday, September 27th, X BANK came alive for an unforgettable night, transforming from a lifestyle store into a vibrant gallery as it welcomed two contemporary artists from Amsterdam: Lino Visionair and Laser 3.14. The duo presented their highly anticipated collaborative collection for one night at X BANK.
As guests arrived, they were treated to welcome drinks, with Engine serving up refreshing gin and tonics, and Tia Maria delighting the crowd with rich and smooth Espresso Martinis. The drinks set the tone for a night filled with artistic discovery and celebration, while a DJ spun tracks that elevated the mood.
The entire space was transformed, with artworks displayed on walls and pedestals throughout X BANK, inviting guests to explore and experience the synergy between the two artists. Each piece was a unique blend of Lino and Laser's individual styles, creating a visual narrative that was as dynamic as it was original. From bold colors and pop-culture references to thought-provoking graffiti-style quotes, the artworks showcased a fusion of vision and creativity.
Lino Visionair, known for his vibrant, celebratory pieces often featuring his signature champagne motif, brought his joyful, pop-infused energy to the collection. With his unmistakable fedora and exuberant style, Lino’s work reflects the high-spirited, celebratory nature of life, encapsulated by his iconic phrase, “champagne when we thirsty.”
In contrast, Laser 3.14 has long been well known for his art throughout the years, but also as an underground legend in the street art world, known for his cryptic, poetic graffiti that has adorned the streets of Amsterdam since the 1980s. Though he maintains an anonymous identity, his thought-provoking messages have become a permanent fixture in the city’s cultural fabric, making him one of its most influential street artists.
Together, these two artists created a collection that was a perfect blend of their distinct approaches. The night was not just about art on the walls; it was a celebration of creativity, collaboration, and the boundless possibilities.
