To celebrate pride week in Amsterdam, X BANK has collaborated with the sustainable interior design brand vanPlestik and artist Fleur Ouwerkerk to create something special.

The first piece is by vanPlestik who took on the task of designing a unique vase exclusively for X BANK, inspired by the vibrant colors of pride. Their main goal is to contribute to the reduction of plastic waste. They do this by using a 3D printer that utilizes recycled plastic as its raw material. As a result, the vase is crafted entirely from recycled plastic – which aligns with X BANK’s vision and commitment to sustainability. X BANK also started a new tradition last year - where a designer-friend, 1/OFF, was invited to create a dress out of flags, uniquely for Pride Week Amsterdam.

This year, Fleur Ouwerkerk, a multidisciplinary artist who creates wearable art and portraits, did the same. Pride to her is all about authenticity, acceptance, love and unity. "We're all unique, like the colors purple, blue, green, yellow, orange and red. When you put these colors together, they compliment each other". For the dress, Fleur used nine rainbow flags, and combined it with gold yarn, weaved by hand.
